…so it’s almost like you’re here with me, looking out the window, chasing the cats, taking a hike, laughing at the dog, riding a great horse, sliding down gumbo hills and eating cookies. Oh, and of course, we won’t forget the cocktail. So glad to have you. Please come again!

Jessie, jessie just love your pictures…nothing like living on the ranch. We loved it. Grandma
Love your blog, your photos, and North Dakota. Have never made it past a visit or two to Fargo (from my home in Connecticut), where my father’s family lives and where they still go to the Sons of Norway Hall several times a month. But I feel like I’ve ventured beyond with “Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch,” if only virtually. Looking forward to more pics!
Thank you so much. I am so glad I could give you a glimpse into life on the ranch in western North Dakota. Every day it is a little bit of a wonder 🙂 Hopefully you can venture a bit past Fargo on your next visit. I promise it will be worth the extra few hours. Thanks for stopping by.
Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing them.
Thanks for taking a look!
Fabulous. Thanks for posting. I’ll have to come back and mine your blog when I’m not on the run.
Jamie
Jessie, you have some awesome pictures here. It is good that you share the awesome feelings of ranch life. Your pictures reassure the love i have for our country life. I will keep checking in to take a look your photos and writings.
Daniel
Thanks Daniel. There is nothing like this life for me. Glad you feel the same.
Love your photos! You should publish a book with them.
Thanks Roxanne. I think some sort of book is in the works for my next project. Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it.

Your photos are gorgeous. You’ve got a great eye for seeing the most spectacular views in the big and the little, the simple and the sweet, the everyday and the normal… I found your blog a while ago, and love coming to visit every now and then. It’s always such a treat to read and look. I get lost in your world when I look at your images, and it’s such a pleasant break from my own world every so often.
I was given an award last week that I would like to pass on to you–the Versatile Blogger Award. I’ve named you on my blog as one of the newest best blogs I’ve come across. You may have already received it; it wouldn’t surprise me. But if not, you can get the info on my blog and pull the image for your own, if you like. I look forward to many more visits to your place here on the Internet, for that calming, peaceful place it puts me in when I’m here. Thanks!

Jessie – beautiful photos! Your ranch looks like a veritable garden of Eden. You truly have a gift for photography. Tell Gene that Mark Samson says hi – we worked summer enrollment together about 150 years ago at UND 😉
HI Mark! I definitely will pass the hello along to dad. Thanks for popping in on the ranch…it is at it’s best this time of year for sure.

Thanks so much for the beautiful photos. I loved growing up in North Dakota and then working in Dickinson years later. I grew up in Mercer and Burleigh counties. I only get to visit every five years or so.
So glad I can give you a virtual visit every once in a while. Western North Dakota really sticks in your heart doesn’t it! Thanks for reading Rosemary, so nice to meet you.

Hi Jessie, I’m new at these pages and have been looking at a few pages for inspiration. I need not have gone any further than yours. Your pics are fantastic and made me feel like I was there. You have captured your life on the ranch perfectly. You have taken the things that we all see every day and bought out the beauty in them. Well done. Thank you. I’ll be checking back for more. (Mumarazzi from Australia)
Thank you so much for the nice comment. That indeed is my goal living out here on this landscape, to really appreciate it, to look, to feel, to share. So glad you stopped in to take a look and so glad you appreciate it too! Take care in Australia, it’s cooling down up here 🙂
beautiful photos! thanks for sharing!
WOW, gorgeous photos, I will be a “frequent flyer” 🙂
You have incredible talent. I’m so glad I’ve found your blog.
Oh, and if you’re ever in Northern California, stop by for a glass of wine.
Thanks for the invite Angeline! I was in Northern California as a teenager and it was truly beautiful. If I ever get back there I will definitely stop in. I really would like to take a wine tour in CA and visit Mount Veeder 🙂
Just fabulous photography. It’s a place of wonder that I would love to be instead of KC.
You’ve got some nice pictures! Nice.

Hi Jessie-
Enjoying your blog very much. I believe we are related. My grandmother was a Veeder from the same clan…she was the baby sister…Lila. I haven’t spent much time in North Dakota, as she and my grandfather (Olaf Gravos) moved to Billings for retirement. Somehow, I received one of your cd’s a while ago now and have always wanted to meet you. Perhaps, some day, my husband and I will make our way east to say ‘hello’. Keep living well and sharing beauty. In this world, it is a gift.
God bless,
Erica
