Summer don’t leave me
stay under my feet
hang warm in the sky
don’t dry up the wheat
Summer stay near me
to kiss my skin tan
mess up my long hair
hold tight my hand
Summer please stay here
in the chokecherry trees
on the back of a good horse
in the green of the leaves
Oh, Summer my good friend
there’s only so many hours
so take the bees and the rainbows…
but don’t take my wildflowers
Totally sweet! and fun poetry, too.
The fall weather is much cooler but everyone who is anyone knows what’s around the corner. Beautiful pics and beautiful writing..have a wonderful weekend. Nicole
So bitter sweet. I love your photos (especially the first one) and poem.
Thanks farmhouse. Isn’t that little girl adorable? We had such a lovely day together frolicking on the ranch. Too bad her momma wouldn’t let me keep her 🙂 lol
I still feel this way about summer leaving even after all these years… so true and so beautifully put.

Thanks swanlzs. The changing of seasons brings out the same feelings in me too, year after year, no matter how old I get.
Such a great way to say goodbye. Wonderful pictures and words.
Wonderful!
Thanks LeRoy! Happy Summer’s End to you!
Now that just gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside! Thanks so much! 🙂
Well, you’re welcome Sherri 🙂
